Washtenaw Community College and announced two new articulation agreements for students interested in pursuing a career in the education field.
An agreement includes completing 66 credits at 蘑菇视频鈥檚 low tuition rates before transferring to Oakland, where students will take 15 three-credit classes and complete a nine-credit internship to earn an Early Childhood Education bachelor鈥檚 degree.
An agreement is similar. Students complete 63 credits at 蘑菇视频, earning an Elementary Education Transfer associate degree in the process, and 57 credits at Oakland to complete an Elementary Education bachelor鈥檚 degree.
蘑菇视频 and OU have previously established articulation agreements that result in students earning Applied Health Science, Interdisciplinary Studies or Business Administration bachelor鈥檚 degrees.
The agreements ensure there will be clear communication, collaboration and transferrable credits between the two institutions.
The shared objective of both institutions is to cultivate a greater number of qualified educators who can serve the needs of local and state communities, addressing the ongoing teacher shortages.
A well-structured articulation agreement offers the most efficient path to graduation, streamlining the academic journey and reducing costs by ensuring students take only the courses required for their degree.
